A massive mixed-use project with apartments, condo retail and restaurant is coming to Lakeview next year.

KRE Development Holdings – the same developer behind the Iron City Lofts project – is developing Lakeview Green, a five-story building with 30 condos, 73 apartments, and 38,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The apartments will be one- and two-bedroom units and the condos will be two- and three-bedrooms, with with prices starting in the $300,000s.

Engel Realty Company is the property management company, and they already manage Iron City Lofts. The Iron City Lofts office is managing contact for leasing information. ARC Realty’s Virginia O’Hara is managing the condos and Martin Smith at SRS Realty is managing the retail space. Cohen Carnaggio Reynolds is the architect on the project.

“The folks that are developing this really do have a definite affinity for this area of town. It’s just really more of a neighborhood feel than you’ll get with most areas of downtown,” said Jenn Ansley, Vice President for Engel’s residential division. “It’s still urban, but not quite as urban; it’s walkable with lots of stuff to do, but just a little more laid back.”

The project is called Lakeview Green largely as a nod to a large green space in the middle of the site that’s intended to be open to the public as well as the residents with amenities like bocce ball and giant jenga.

“The landscaped portion in the middle of the site is intended to be a communal place for both the residents and the local Lakeview populace,” Architect Patrick Lancaster said.
